Caputo Dry Yeast 500 gr (Lievito Secco 100% Italiano)

We ordered several products from this business. We want to start making our own pizza dough and pasta. The order was late to arrive because of the carrier. I alerted them and they took care of me with so much professionalism and friendliness. I am so impressed! You don't often find customer service to this caliber anymore. They have a lifelong customer in me! Also---the products were fantastic as well! I have made both dough and pasta and both turned out with top notch quality!

Update, looks like they added “best by date” note and now have it on sale. I paid full price less than 2 weeks ago. I won’t hesitate to buy, portion, vacuum seal and freeze at the $ 7.99 price. I paid $19.99

I am torn about this review. I like brick oven baker. Great collection of items and reasonable shipping fees. I love caputo yeast. I couldn’t find the 100 gm package, so I got the 500 gm with the plan to vacuum seal and freeze in 100 gm aliquots, which I did. What I didn’t expect is an expiration date within 2 months though. Frozen yeast is supposed to last for years, so I guess I’ll find out.
Great yeast and excellent store. Only suggestion is when they’ll ship about to expire or close to use before date options, I’d like maybe to be informed.

Can you freeze the yeast?

I have tried a lot of yeasts but love this one

I received the dry yeast mid-late February and it has an expiration date less than 6 months from the date I received it. I cannot use that amount of yeast in less that 6 months and request a return. To date, I have not received a response.
